Gobble Up Energy Savings This Thanksgiving!

Cranberry sauce, gravy, veggies, pie and turkey are on your Thanksgiving list. Here are some energy saving tips to add to your turkey day celebrations!

🦃Stop peeking! When you open the oven door to check on your bird, the temperature inside can drop as much as 25 degree, which can make your oven work harder, use more energy, and lengthen your cooking time.
🦃Don't buy a turkey bigger than you need. You'll just be cooking longer.
🦃Cook side dishes with the microwave or stove top to reduce oven usage.
🦃Have a convection oven? You will use 20% less energy running your convection oven compared to a standard oven. And the cook time is usually quicker.
🦃Turn down the temperature in your house while you cook; oven usage will warm up rooms, especially in the kitchen.
