FAQ

What makes your ControlTemp Thermostats different from everything else?

Our thermostats prevent renters from setting the temperature too high or too low. It does this by allowing you to set a maximum heat and minimum cool temperature set point. The tenants can then adjust the thermostat but can not set it higher than the maximum heat or lower then the minimum cool set point.

For example, most owners will set the maximum heat temperature to 72°. With this setting a tenant will only be able to raise the heat to 72°. If they try to raise it higher, the thermostat will not respond.

We also provide a unique "Tamper Warning" Labels, that let the tenant know what the maximum/minimum allowable temperatures are and warns them of forfeiting their security deposit if they tamper with the unit.
